Southern Aluminium Industry (China) Co., Ltd., is a joint venture between two prominent overseas Enterprises: Maspion Group from Indonesia and Shinyu Shoji Co., Ltd from Japan, was established in 1992. SAIC is a large scale modern aluminium rolling plant which is strategically located at Rongqiao Economic & Technological Development Zone, Fuqing City, Fujian Province, China.

Occupying land area of 240, 000 square meters, SAIC possesses four Continuous Casting Lines with total annual capacity of 35, 000 MT, Hot Rolling Line with annual capacity of 45, 000 MT, two Foil Producing Lines with total annual capacity of 35, 000MT (One of the lines which has a annual capacity of 24, 000 MT is capable to produce 1, 600mm wide thin gauge foil) and one Aluminium Tread Plate and Cladding line with annual capacity of 10, 000 MT. New products such as AA5052 Tread Plate and Non-Ferrous Clad Metal will be on stream in the near future. All main equipments were imported from Europe/U. S. A with a variety of modern state-of-the-art production control automation conforming to the advanced, international standards. SAIC have set up a strong Research and Development (R&D) team, adopted advanced aluminium production process of Alumindo from Maspion Group, closely followed international aluminium processing technique and scientific management system, to satisfy customers various specific requirements.

Among quality products produced by SAIC, there are Aluminium Circle for high end kitchen wares, Aluminium Sheet/coil, Embossed Sheet/Coil, Aluminium Roofing, Fin Stock, Electronic and Electric Foil, Cathode Foil, Cigarette and Food Packaging Foil (0.006mm, 0.00635mm, 0.007mm) etc. The products are sold to both domestic and overseas markets. They are widely used in automotive, electronics and electric, kitchenware, Construction/decoration and packaging for cigarettes, foods/beverages, medicines and many other fields.

Management system have acquired ISO9001: 2000 and ISO10012: 2003 certification, issued by government certified authority. The foil and curtain wall products are categorized as "Fujian Province′s Branded Products". SAIC is one of the top 10 largest taxpaying corporates in Fuqing City, as well as named as "Grade A Tax Credit" company in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. As one of the top 10 largest enterprises in Fuqing City in term of production and sales for four consecutive years from 2004 to 2007, SAIC had been named Top 100 outstanding foreign-funded enterprises in Fujian Province in 2005 and Top 100 outstanding foreign trade enterprise in 2006. In addition, SAIC also had been awarded by the State Council Overseas of Chinese Affairs "2003-2005 Top 100 STAR Oversea Chinese investment Enterprises" and the title of "Outstanding Foreign-invested Enterprise" in 2006.
